Rotary is an international service organization that assists in importation
projects like Polio Plus to erradicate Polio, wheelchairs for Romania,
diaries in Romania, Water treatment in Mexico, Rotoplast in countries

The local district is 5220 for this area. The Rotary Clubs of Modesto have a storng emphasis on community service and are looking for opportunities to get further involved in the Modesto Area.
All of the Rotary Clubs in Modesto have joined forces in the development of the Virginia Corridor for their 100 year "The Centennial Project" activity. This is an important project that needs your funds, time and labor. Be a part of of creating a 4.2 mile linear park, where the Rotary project will be the central and showcase section. Soroptimist International of Modesto (SIM)
Soroptimist International of Modesto is a business woman's service organization. We devote our efforts to community, regional, national and worldwide service projects. Our service is directed to the following areas: education, environment, health, human rights & status of women, international goodwill & understanding and social & economic development. While giving back to our community is our primary focus, weekly meetings offer professional opportunities and networking for our members. We also provide several scholarships and awards which are given each year to high school and college age students.

Soroptimist International of Modesto North (SIMN)
Soroptimist International of Modesto North is a community based organization whose purpose is to provide community service/resources to those in need; to provide valuable networking opportunities for professionals; to promote a volunteer spirit among it members for the betterment of the community; and to encourage high ethical stands in all aspects of life.
We provide awards for “re-entry” women and scholarships for college students in addition to offering assistance to a variety of other community organizations. We meet every Wednesday from 12:15 to 1:15 PM at the Seasons, 945 McHenry Avenue , Modesto . Please join us at a meeting to learn more about the organization. Locally the two Soroptimist Clubs manage the Soroptimist Community Christmas Tree, located in Vintage Faire Mall. We provide gifts for some 4000 needy children in our own community.
Servitans:
An International Service Organization of men and women. The Stanislaus Club meets each Thursday at 7:00 PM - First Thursday of the month at Acapulco Restaurant on Mc Henry Avenue. The following Thursdays at Denny's Restaurant on Mc Henry Avenue. Civitan Mission Statement "To build good citizenship by providing a volunteer association of clubs dedicated to serving individual and community needs with an emphasis on helping people with developmental disabilities."
The Stanislaus Civitan Club members are dedicated to improving their communities through helping others. On the International level, Civitan funds the Civitan International Research Center, a center for research and treatment of mental retardation and other developmental disabilities. On the local level, however, Civitans are involved in a variety of service projects to help residents of our community.
Here are just a few of the community service projects and fund raisers of our club which you may choose to participate in: Easter Egg Hunt for Special Kids; Special Olympics; Haven House; Candy Box Project; Fireworks Booth and Food Booth Fund Raisers; Law Enforcement Appreciation Day; Clergy Appreciation Day; Scholarship Program CSUS.
